Newstaff Employment is recruiting qualified Primary Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work across primary schools in Luton. We offer opportunities across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, from EYFS through to Year 6. Whether you want occasional supply days, regular weekly work, or a longer-term position, we can help you find opportunities that suit your experience and availability.

Location: Luton
Salary: £145 – £180 per day
Working Hours: Typically 8:15am – 3:45pm, with half-day opportunities potentially available
Job Type: Flexible Supply / Temporary / Long-term

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2.
  • Follow lesson plans and maintain continuity of learning during teacher absences.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Adapt your teaching approach to meet the needs of different pupils.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and positively.
  • Support pupils with additional or SEN needs when required.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other school staff.
  • Follow individual school policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to permanent teaching staff following supply assignments.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • You are enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable.
  • You are passionate about making a positive impact in the classroom.
  • You can confidently teach within EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2.
  • Teachers with subject specialisms are encouraged to apply.
  • Teachers with SEN experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • You can adapt quickly to different schools, classrooms, and teaching environments.
  • You communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and other education professionals.
  • You can work independently while contributing positively to the wider school team.
