Newstaff Employment is hiring a motivated Production Factory Operative in Hitchin to join a busy manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the production process, maintain quality standards, and help keep operations running safely and efficiently every day.
Location: Hitchin
Salary: £12.71 per hour plus accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery safely and in line with company procedures
- Assemble products accurately and according to specifications
- Carry out regular quality checks to maintain high standards
- Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organised at all times
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors throughout the shift
- Help identify minor production issues and report them quickly
- Support basic troubleshooting where required
- Follow health and safety rules consistently
- Assist with training and onboarding new team members when needed
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous factory or production experience is helpful, although not essential
- Willingness to learn and follow production processes
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to duties and production needs
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- A good understanding of health and safety in a factory setting is an advantage
- Positive approach and willingness to support the wider team
