Newstaff Employment is hiring a Production Operative on behalf of our client based in Letchworth Garden City. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly team manufacturing electrical equipment in a clean and professional production environment. Full training will be provided, so while previous production experience is beneficial, it is not essential. Therefore, this role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude who is eager to learn and develop new skills.
Location: Letchworth Garden City
Salary: £14.00 per hour plus accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical equipment following engineering drawings and instructions
- Carry out production and assembly duties to a high standard
- Complete electrical wiring and soldering tasks following full training
- Read and follow technical drawings and work instructions
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Work closely with colleagues to meet daily production targets
- Follow all health and safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous production or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential
- GCSEs or qualifications in Physics, Science, Engineering, or a related subject would be advantageous
- Good practical skills and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
