Newstaff Employment is recruiting a Reach Truck & Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our client’s busy despatch department in Stevenage. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, moving stock safely throughout the warehouse, and supporting the despatch process using both forklift trucks and the company’s in-house computer system. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FLT driver looking for a long-term role with excellent progression opportunities.
Location: Stevenage
Salary: £14.77 per hour plus accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Operate both Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently
- Load and unload deliveries from lorries
- Put away and retrieve stock from warehouse racking using the Reach Truck
- Support the despatch department with the movement of goods
- Check goods in and out using the company’s in-house computer system
- Complete despatch documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid, in-date Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift licences
- Previous experience operating both Reach and Counterbalance trucks
- Basic PC skills and confidence using computer systems
- Good written and spoken English
- Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail
