Roller Shutter Installation & Repair Engineer – Ampthill
Newstaff Employment is hiring experienced Roller Shutter Installation & Repair Engineers on behalf of a long-established client. In this role, you will install, service, and repair manual and motorised roller shutters at sites across the UK. Most work will take place within shopping centres and airports.
Location: Ampthill
Salary: £30,000 basic salary (OTE £42,000)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 6:00 pm
Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair manual and motorised roller shutters
- Work mainly as part of a two-person installation team
- Carry out surveys and fault-finding work independently when required
- Travel across the UK, including overnight stays for some jobs
- Use drills, hand tools, and equipment safely and correctly
- Complete job sheets, surveys, and paperwork accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site and over the phone
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum two years of experience installing and repairing roller shutters
- Full UK driving licence required
- Must be aged 25 or over due to company insurance requirements
- Valid CSCS Skilled Worker card required
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail when completing paperwork and reports
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts and late finishes
- Must live within 40 minutes of Ampthill
Desirable Skills
- Electrical qualifications
- Blue Card qualification
- Previous experience working at airports or secure sites
- DBS or CRC clearance
