Sales Manager – Watford

Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Sales Manager in Watford to lead a busy DIY sales centre, manage a small team, and drive branch performance through excellent customer service and sales leadership.

Location: Watford
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 am – 5:00 pm, plus Saturday 09:00 am – 12:30 pm on a rota basis
Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily running of the branch and maintain efficient operations
Lead, motivate, and support a team of 4 staff members
Handle sales enquiries for doors and related products
Respond to emails promptly and professionally
Process customer orders and schedule installations
Assist with lifting garage doors and other hands-on duties
Check delivered goods against the delivery notes for quantity and condition
Learn all product ranges to provide expert advice

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous supervisory or management experience
Strong sales background with a customer-focused approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills
IT literate and confident using office systems
Ability to work well within a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Experience in DIY, doors, construction, builders’ merchants, or home improvements is highly desirable
Physically fit and able to undertake some heavy lifting
