School Site Manager – Luton, Bedfordshire

These opportunities are ideal for experienced Site Managers, Site Agents, Caretakers, and Facilities Professionals who are looking for flexible work within the education sector. Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary: £16 – £25 per hour (depending on experience and assignment)

Key Responsibilities

• Open and lock school buildings and premises
• Carry out basic maintenance, repairs, and general site duties
• Complete routine health and safety inspections
• Maintain the security and safety of the school site
• Monitor the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities
• Support external contractors working on-site
• Report maintenance issues and arrange repairs where required
• Ensure school premises remain clean, safe, and operational

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in site maintenance, caretaking, facilities management, or a similar role
• Good practical and maintenance skills
• Understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Reliable, proactive, and professional attitude
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Experience working within a school environment is desirable but not essential
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to site-related issues
