Newstaff Employment is hiring School Site Managers to support Primary Schools and Secondary Schools across Luton and the surrounding areas. These opportunities are ideal for experienced Site Managers, Site Agents, Caretakers, and Facilities Professionals who are looking for flexible work within the education sector. Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary: £16 – £25 per hour (depending on experience and assignment)
Working Hours: Flexible

Key Responsibilities
- Open and lock school buildings and premises
- Carry out basic maintenance, repairs, and general site duties
- Complete routine health and safety inspections
- Maintain the security and safety of the school site
- Monitor the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities
- Support external contractors working on-site
- Report maintenance issues and arrange repairs where required
- Ensure school premises remain clean, safe, and operational
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in site maintenance, caretaking, facilities management, or a similar role
- Good practical and maintenance skills
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Reliable, proactive, and professional attitude
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Experience working within a school environment is desirable but not essential
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to site-related issues
