School Site Agent

About the Role:

Newstaff are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Site Agent to join a friendly and supportive school team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in site maintenance and facilities to contribute to the smooth running of a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and close the school premises daily, ensuring all buildings and grounds are secure

• Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs, and DIY tasks

• Oversee health and safety compliance across the school site

• Support contractors and oversee onsite works as required

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds

• Perform routine checks on fire alarms, emergency lighting, and security systems

• Respond promptly to any site issues or emergencies

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Site Agent, Caretaker, or in a similar facilities/maintenance role

• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics, and general repairs

• Good understanding of health & safety regulations

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

• Reliable, hardworking, and flexible approach to duties

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
