Newstaff Employment is hiring SEN Supply Teachers to work across specialist schools, SEN provisions, and mainstream schools throughout Luton and the surrounding areas. These opportunities involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and complex learning difficulties. Therefore, this is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated teachers who are passionate about making a positive impact in SEN education.
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (depending on experience and assignment)
Working Hours: Flexible

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit different abilities
- Create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and other professionals
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous SEN teaching experience is desirable
- Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching practices
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs is advantageous
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
- Passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
