SEN Supply Teachers – Luton, Bedfordshire

Newstaff Employment is hiring SEN Supply Teachers to work across specialist schools, SEN provisions, and mainstream schools throughout Luton and the surrounding areas. These opportunities involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and complex learning difficulties. Therefore, this is a fantastic opportunity for dedicated teachers who are passionate about making a positive impact in SEN education.

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (depending on experience and assignment)
Working Hours: Flexible

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit different abilities
  • Create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and other professionals
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Previous SEN teaching experience is desirable
  • Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching practices
  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
  • Passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
