Newstaff Employment is hiring experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, supporting schools across Dunstable and the surrounding area. In this role, you will work with pupils who have a range of additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants looking for flexible work with a variety of schools.
Location: Dunstable
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience and assignment)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, school hours

Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs, and Complex Learning Difficulties
- Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate
- Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records where required and support pupil progress
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is essential
- Patient, calm, and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Passion for helping children achieve their full potential
- Reliable, flexible, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
