Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in preparing and delivering engaging classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs or learning difficulties.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Encourage students to stay focused, motivated, and involved in lessons.
  • Give feedback to teachers on student progress and any challenges.
  • Prepare lesson resources and classroom materials.
  • Supervise pupils during break times and school activities.
  • Promote inclusion, confidence, and positive behaviour across the school day.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting.
  • Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Patient, caring, and supportive approach.
  • Proactive attitude with good problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine interest in child development and education.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet changing classroom needs.
