Newstaff Employment is hiring a Temporary Receptionist on behalf of our client to cover a small reception desk in Luton from 26th February until 2nd April 2026. This is a front-facing role where you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, helping to create a professional and welcoming first impression.
Location: Luton
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (1 hour lunch break)
Job Type: Temporary (Fixed-Term Cover) – 26th February until 2nd April 2026

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate team members
- Manage and maintain a tidy, organised reception area
- Handle general enquiries and provide information about the company
- Coordinate appointments and manage the reception diary
- Assist with data entry and general administrative tasks
- Support other departments with ad-hoc admin duties
- Collect and distribute incoming post daily
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role preferred
- Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
- Well-presented, professional, and approachable
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Reliable and punctual
