Newstaff Employment is hiring a Trainee Engineer to join a growing engineering business in Leighton Buzzard. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers while gaining valuable hands-on experience across a range of engineering projects. Salary: £13.50 per hour plus accrued holiday pay

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of engineering solutions
- Support senior engineers with day-to-day project activities
- Carry out routine maintenance and equipment inspections
- Help diagnose faults and assist with troubleshooting activities
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports
- Work closely with colleagues across different departments
- Follow engineering procedures and quality standards
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
- Participate in training and development programmes to build technical knowledge
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related discipline) or equivalent qualification
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced working environment
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of CAD software would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
