Van Driver – Bedford

Newstaff Employment is recruiting a Van Driver on behalf of our client in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused driver to join a busy team delivering and collecting hire equipment. As a result, you will enjoy a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule while providing a high standard of service to customers.

Location: Bedford
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 5:30 am – 4:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time / Ongoing

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect hire equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload equipment while following safe manual handling procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks before each shift.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Provide professional, friendly service to customers.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and well maintained.
• Follow all road traffic legislation and company health and safety procedures.
• Support the wider team whenever required.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a full UK driving licence.
• You are physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• You are reliable, punctual, and organised.
• You provide excellent customer service.
• You have a positive, can-do attitude.
• Previous van driving or delivery experience is advantageous but not essential.
