Vehicle Assessor in Bedford
Newstaff Recruitment Agency in Bedford is currently looking for a Vehicle Assessor on behalf of our client based in Bedford.
Vehicle Assessor in Bedford
Pay: £12.67 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Location: Bedford
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial vehicle bookings, recording basic details and mileage using Hand-Held Terminals (HHT) and/or Microsoft or Google Forms.
- Record or verify vehicle documentation, including V5 logbooks and service history.
- Perform brief inspections to identify items present and assess major or recent damage potentially incurred during transit.
- Recover and record any loose items within the vehicle.
- Identify and order standard services required for each vehicle.
- Recommend enhancement services for additional repairs, rubbish removal, valeting, fuel, etc.
- Adhere to the company’s health and safety standards to prevent and report accidents.
- Handle issues, queries, or complaints professionally, referring them to the relevant manager when necessary.
- Take on additional responsibilities and support other locations as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in driving cars.
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage daily vehicle checks.
- Availability to work weekends is essential.
