As Warehouse Manager, the right candidate shall play a pivotal role in overseeing all warehouse operations and reporting back to the Operations Manager.

Duties include collaborating closely with the Operations Manager to coordinate tasks, managing productivity within the warehouse, supervising deliveries/dispatch of goods

within the warehouse, stock management and planning, checking in and out of equipment, and the ability to accurately manage rental stock on multiple sites and

effective co-ordination of site delivery/collections.

Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude are essential to this role as is a good level of computer literacy. A working knowledge of electrical equipment

for the entertainment industry and computerised inventory management systems would be advantageous, although not essential as training will be provided.

The role is based on a 40-hour week Monday – Friday, which will include weekend and evening work as the needs of the business dictate.

Responsibilities & Essential Tasks
The right candidate will be able to:

– Understand and use inventory management software, to dispatch goods out and receive goods in ensuring that the workload is sensibly managed and that deadlines are met. (Training will be provided).
– Keep the Operations Manager up to date with shortages for projects and missing items to ensure that the stock inventories are kept accurate.
– Managing of warehouse operatives.
– Be responsible for ensuring effective day to day management of the rental software system so that it is kept up to date with current stock levels and stock movements. (Training will be provided).
– Undertake a quarterly (or as necessary) stock take of warehouse and compile stock reports.
– Undertake loading & unloading of equipment and transporting to site in company vehicles or courier vehicles.
– Undertake periodic maintenance (for example PAT testing) and ensure maintenance records are kept up to date. (Training will be provided).
– Demonstrate a good understanding of current industry standards for preparation testing and packaging of rental and installation equipment and ensure that our high standards for equipment prep are maintained.
– Apply a set of electrical and functional tests to a piece of equipment and be able to undertake basic fault finding on defective equipment.
– Work safely with electrical equipment and understand the limits of own knowledge in this area.

Skills and Qualifications required
This is a role that will suit an articulate and committed individual. We will accept applications from candidates who either have prior experience working

in a similar role, or are able to demonstrate that they can meet the requirements of the role. Prior experience of appropriate work in the entertainment industry will be advantageous.

A forklift license is preferred but not required.

– Must be an excellent communicator, able to adapt to changing requirements on projects with flexibility and maturity.
– Must be motivated and able to use initiative when under pressure.
– Must be computer literate and have an existing basic understanding of generic spreadsheet software such as Excel.
– Able to take a structured approach to tasks and practice good housekeeping.
– Must be physically fit and able to lift in excess of 20kg, capable of manoeuvring over uneven terrain.
– Able to execute a consistently high quality of work that maintains our existing reputation for reliability and quality of service.

Supervisory Responsibility
Must be able to confidently and competently instruct & supervise warehouse staff and occasionally local agency labour (local crew) in simple prep tasks (i.e. making cable looms or scanning of barcodes to return equipment).
