Newstaff Employment is hiring a Warehouse Operative – Cardboard Baler on behalf of our client based in Hemel Hempstead. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a cardboard baler, processing recyclable waste, and helping to maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking for a long-term role with the potential to secure a permanent position.
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £13.00 – £18.00 per hour plus accrued holiday pay (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Operate the cardboard baler safely and efficiently
- Collect, process, and prepare waste cardboard for recycling
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse environment
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company procedures
- Support the wider warehouse team with general duties when required
- Carry out manual handling tasks safely
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Report any machinery faults or safety concerns promptly
Essential Skills & Experience
- Happy to operate warehouse machinery following full training
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
- Reliable with excellent punctuality and attendance
- Good timekeeping and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse or cardboard baler experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
