Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable Yard Operative in Newton Longville to support daily yard operations, maintain site standards, and assist within a busy outdoor working environment.

Location: Newton Longville
Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, either 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch or 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with 30 minute lunch
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general yard duties daily
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Support day-to-day yard operations as required
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Assist inside the powered plant when needed
• Carry out manual handling duties, including lifting bags up to 25kg
• Follow all site health and safety procedures
• Work closely with the wider team to maintain operational standards

Essential Skills & Experience

• Reliable and hard-working attitude
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
• Ability to work outdoors throughout the year
• Good team-working skills
• Flexible and willing to support different areas of the site
• Own transport is essential due to the rural location
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
