Newstaff Employment is hiring a Year 4 Primary Teacher to work within a welcoming and supportive primary school in Milton Keynes. This role offers the opportunity to teach a Year 4 class one day per week throughout the academic year while benefiting from a flexible working pattern and excellent school support. Therefore, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a rewarding part-time teaching position.
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £145 – £180 per day (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 1 Day per Week
Job Type: Supply Cover Contract – Part-Time
Start Date: September 2026

Key Responsibilities
- Teach a Year 4 class one day per week throughout the academic year
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the school’s curriculum
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Support pupil progress and attainment through effective teaching practices
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure continuity of learning
- Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback where required
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is required
- Previous Year 4 teaching experience is desirable
- Strong classroom management skills
- Reliable, organised, and professional approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Passion for delivering high-quality education
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
