Newstaff Employment is hiring a Year 4 Primary Teacher to work within a welcoming and supportive primary school in Milton Keynes. This role offers the opportunity to teach a Year 4 class one day per week throughout the academic year while benefiting from a flexible working pattern and excellent school support. Therefore, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a rewarding part-time teaching position.

Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £145 – £180 per day (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 1 Day per Week
Job Type: Supply Cover Contract – Part-Time
Start Date: September 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 4 class one day per week throughout the academic year
• Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the school’s curriculum
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Support pupil progress and attainment through effective teaching practices
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
• Work closely with the class teacher to ensure continuity of learning
• Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback where required
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times

Essential Skills & Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is required
• Previous Year 4 teaching experience is desirable
• Strong classroom management skills
• Reliable, organised, and professional approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Passion for delivering high-quality education
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
