Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Yard Operative

Location: Sundon Park, Luton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Yard Operative to join our client based in Sundon Park, Luton.

This is a varied role that will involve both forklift driving and general yard duties. The successful candidate must be happy to work both on and off the forklift as part of a busy operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock and materials around the site
• General yard maintenance and housekeeping
• Sweeping, tidying and keeping the yard clean and organised
• Assisting with waste management and recycling duties
• Operating a baling machine (full training can be provided if required)
• Supporting warehouse and production operations as needed
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

Requirements

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent)
• Previous forklift driving experience
• Willingness to undertake manual duties and yard work
• Reliable and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures
