Newstaff Employment is recruiting an experienced Van Driver for delivery work in Watford. You will drive a company van to complete customer deliveries across local and surrounding routes. The role also involves loading and unloading goods, completing vehicle checks, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

Salary: £13.50 per hour for all hours worked
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with flexible start times

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a company van safely and professionally.
• Complete customer deliveries across designated routes.
• Ensure goods arrive safely and on time.
• Follow planned routes and delivery schedules.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before starting work.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods.
• Handle products carefully during transport and delivery.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Communicate with the transport team regarding deliveries.
• Confirm delivery details with customers when required.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Follow UK road traffic regulations.
• Follow company health and safety procedures.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a valid UK driving licence.
• You have a good driving record.
• Previous van driving or delivery experience would be advantageous.
• You take a safe, professional approach to driving.
• You can load and unload goods when required.
• You can manage your time and follow delivery schedules.
• You have good communication and customer service skills.
• You are reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• You can work independently throughout the day.
• You are confident using navigation systems.
• Good knowledge of Watford and the surrounding areas would be beneficial.
• You are flexible regarding start times.
