Newstaff Employment is recruiting an experienced 7.5T Driver for delivery work in Luton. You will drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle across local and regional routes, delivering commercial goods safely and on time. This driving role also involves vehicle checks, delivery paperwork, loading and unloading, and providing professional customer service.

Salary: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour, depending on experience
Working Hours: Varied shifts available

Key Responsibilities

• Drive 7.5-tonne vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete deliveries across local and regional routes.
• Deliver goods safely and within agreed schedules.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery and mileage records.
• Complete all required driver paperwork.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.
• Handle goods carefully during transport and delivery.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Follow planned routes and delivery instructions.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Follow UK road traffic and transport regulations.
• Comply with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time rules where applicable.
• Follow company health and safety procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a valid driving licence with the correct entitlement to drive 7.5-tonne vehicles.
• You have previous 7.5T driving or similar commercial driving experience.
• You have a safe and professional approach to driving.
• You understand relevant road safety and transport regulations.
• You can carry out basic vehicle safety checks.
• You can manage your time and meet delivery schedules.
• You are reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• You can work independently and follow delivery instructions.
• You have good communication and customer service skills.
• You are flexible and comfortable working varied shifts.
• Good knowledge of Luton and the surrounding areas would be advantageous.
